John Mack (aka @PharmaGuy) presents his 3rd Annual Social Media Pioneer Award to the US Diabetes Team of Sanofi for overcoming hurdles, sticking to their vision, and sharing their successes. Accepting the award on their behalf is InTouch Solution’s @WendyBlackburn, who worked with the team to help realize their goals.
The prize is John’s trademark Hawaiian shirt, worn at conferences to distinguish himself from the crowd. In like manner the fabled shirt is bestowed every year to pioneers within healthcare social media who distinguish themselves through their tenacity and accomplishments. But as John points out during the on-stage ceremony, there might not be a need for a 4th annual award, as hopefully the channel will have become so commonplace as to make pioneering no longer necessary.
